Following two weeks of intensive research, sound exploration, and collective work, over 60 artists from 9 countries invite you into the unfolding of Notations Lab #1 — now taking shape as the Notations Festival.
Notations Festival will take place over two days, presenting installations, sonic experiments, performances, talks, and concerts developed in the lab, emerging from the creative intersection of visual art and music, heritage and innovation, signal and silence.
At the core of the lab is Avet Terterian’s Symphony No. 3, digitized for the first time by the Armenian National Music specifically for this project. The score became more than a reference, it became a space. A space for listening, reinterpreting, re-scoring, and responding.
Over the course of the lab, participants engaged in deep listening, collective composition, and cross-disciplinary practice, exploring the score not as a fixed form but as an invitation.
Notations Festival is the echo of that process.
A temporary field of transmissions, rituals, soundworks, and images, each offering a glimpse into what listening can become.
