Ritual as Communication:
Words, Bodies, and Things
A Lecture by Jeanne Kormina & Sergei Shtyrkov
hosq together with Yerevan Center for International Education present a lecture, organized in anticipation of the upcoming laboratory and festival Notations #2, which focuses on the theme of rituals.

In this talk, we will explore how rituals work, what they are made of, and how their social magic operates. Looking at rituals as complex forms of communication involving words, bodies, objects, spaces and time, we will examine how they create meanings, relationships, and transformations.

Rather than treating ritual as something archaic or exclusively religious, we will approach it as a powerful means of organizing collective experience and producing social realities.
