hosq cultivates the development of Armenia’s cultural and creative ecosystem by nurturing collaborations across disciplines, strengthening artistic practices, and ensuring sustainable growth for the arts through research-driven and artist-led initiatives.
hosq is a foundation and platform — and soon, a shared physical space — dedicated to growing a creative ecosystem in Armenia. We connect artists, researchers, educators, and cultural workers into a living network that shares resources, skills, and ideas, with a permanent base and active presence in Armenia. Through laboratories, residencies, grants, and educational and public programs, we create conditions for collaboration across disciplines and geographies. Acting as both a meeting point and a catalyst, hosq fosters a cultural community where individual practices support one another, and where the arts can grow with care, sensibility, and vision.

hosq was initiated and is generously supported by Maison Marom, whose trust and commitment to cultural innovation made it possible to lay the foundations of this platform. This partnership represents a rare and valuable model of private investment in Armenian culture — one that prioritizes sustainability, independence, and long-term artistic development. Thanks to this support, hosq can grow as an open, inclusive, and future-oriented initiative while remaining deeply rooted in the artistic community.

Our work is grounded in research. Each project is also an inquiry — into what makes sense, what evolves, and what can be reimagined. This approach keeps hosq adaptive, critical, and aligned with the realities of a rapidly shifting world.

hosq is run by cultural managers and artists. Most of us are artists ourselves, which means we are not only involved in management but also deeply embedded in the artistic community. This dual role gives us a unique perspective: we build structures while actively participating in the practices we support.
hosq creates opportunities for artists and cultural workers to connect, exchange, and realize projects that transcend borders. hosq provides the resources, tools, knowledge, and networks necessary to empower the next generation of cultural actors in Armenia and beyond.
We believe in culture as a shared resource and a transformative force. Our philosophy is rooted in experimentation and research questioning, testing, and learning through practice. Collaboration, openness, and care guide our work, ensuring that artistic practices are not isolated but interwoven with society, education, and innovation.
