Media art, digital agency, and the infrastructures that make critique possible.
Media artists often identify the social and political effects of new technologies before they enter mainstream debate. But critical artistic practice does not develop in isolation, it requires institutions, networks, funding, and spaces for exchange to make critique possible.
Drawing on IMPAKT’s initiatives (CODE, EMAP, Buen-TEK, and Full Spectrum), the talk explores how media-art organisations build conditions for:
