Common Ground
Instagram post about the lecture
Common Ground is a special place in the heart of Yerevan - a cultural space where one can find like-minded people to connect with and make cultural exchange.
Located in a historic mansion surrounded by a vivid green garden, there is a bookstore, a wine library and a cafe hiding under the same roof.
Common Ground is also a home for various cultural events: lectures, presentations, movie screenings, concerts etc.
The selection at the store is carefully curated by the Common Ground team. The collection includes publications on architecture, design, philosophy, history, and art, as well as modern prose and poetry.

Lecture: Design Stories
A lecture in Yerevan to connect with the Armenian international design scene is an extraordinary occasion to share the stories behind the projects that have shaped my career so far.

Neither an academic look at the recent history of design, nor a theoretical curatorial presentation, my talk will enlighten the connections, the ideas, and the people behind contemporary design works, installations, exhibitions — both in public and private contexts — that I brought together in recent years under my motto: ‘design is about people not about chairs’. With the idea of telling and not teaching, the excursus will highlight some of the most and different projects I have curated so far, giving all the times priority to people over objects.
